There are so many things that you have to consider when choosing the right wig for you: the color, hair type, or even how its applied; the number of decisions can seem very dizzying. Fortunately, once you have a grasp on what look you want, shopping gets easier and easier.

Since lace can make or break your look it explains why so many people are turning to HD lace. But why HD lace? And whats the difference between the different types of lace?

Before we get into whats so great about HD lace, its important to compare it to the other types of lace out there. Different types of lace are going to fall into these types of categories:

Though the thickness of the lace doesnt make it easy to blend, its used for the back of the head to help keep the wig in place. Whereas film lace is used for the closure. Each wig type has its strengths and weaknesses, but HD lace is especially unique because its strengths are so prominent.

Its a type of royal lace, which is an incredibly high-quality lace. Until recently, the best lace to get was Swiss lace, but HD lace is the newest iteration of the famous Swiss lace. So, what makes it so special?

Transparent lace is easy to match with lighter skin tones but for dark skinned people to wear use it, it will have to be bleached at the roots. But with HD lace, it doesnt matter what your skin tone is. As soon as it touches your skin, it becomes nearly invisible.  This is due to the incredibly low denier of HD lace5x5 closure wig and the silky, high-quality of the lace itself.

Many people struggle with the scratchy or itchy quality of other types of lace, but HD lace feels like silk on your skin. In addition to it being gentle, its breathable as well. You dont have to worry about the lace tearing up your hair as you style your 27 hair color. I highly recommend HD lace to those of you with sensitive skin or fragile hair.

The quality of the lace is so sheer that you dont have to worry about blending it to look natural. Its so sheer that you can wear a slicked back bun or show off your baby hairs with curly cheap frontal wigs girl look.

These downsides arent listed to detour you from using HD lace, but you should be aware of some of the risks involved with purchasing HD lace.

True HD lace front wigs, as in HD lace that isnt blended with anything, is very expensive. After doing a little shopping for some HD lace, the lowest price that I could find was $180. When you consider the price and the shelf-life of an HD lace front wig, its quite telling that youre dealing with something special.

The longest that an HD lace front wig can last is 8 to 12 months. The normal shelf life of a wig worn everyday is 6 to 24 months depending on the wig. Hearing that a HD wigs shelf life is so long would be good until you consider that the quality of the wig decreases the more you wear it. Since HD lace is so thin, it frays very quickly and tears easier than stockings.

HD lace wigs are perfect for photoshoots, music videos, and other situations where you need to look good for the camera. But if youre looking for something that will last a long time and you can wear it daily, an HD lace isnt for you. Your wig will last longer if you maintain it with care and wear it infrequently.

With everything that we know about HD lace front wigs, we can figure out if owning an HD lace front is right for you. If you fit a few of these characteristics, then you might want to consider getting a HD lace front:
